With the aim of promoting a more egalitarian coexistence also during Christmas, our center has developed a Decalogue for an Equality Christmas, consisting of ten simple recommendations to apply both at school and at home. The proposals, developed within the framework of the Donas de Si Project, invite us to reflect on co-responsibility, the distribution of tasks, respect, diversity and the importance of celebrating these dates without stereotypes.

To promote its dissemination, the Decalogue was placed in corridors, classrooms and common spaces, accompanied by a visual poster with the main messages. In addition, tutor teachers were asked to comment on the content in their tutoring sessions, promoting a small dialogue on equality, family habits and co-responsibility.

Through this activity we seek that the students:

  • reflect on daily behaviors that reproduce inequalities,

  • recognize the importance of collaboration in household tasks,

  • question stereotypes present in toys, roles and comments,

  • and understand that equality is not a matter of one day or one time of year: it is a 365-day commitment.

A simple, symbolic and transformative action, which helps to sow values of coexistence and respect inside and outside our center.
